Cyrus Laurent builds spaces that feel dangerous, dark, and a little mischievous. Rooted in tech house and melodic techno, she’s carved out a reputation in Salt Lake City’s underground on the strength of one thing: curation that stops people mid-conversation. Not because it’s loud. Because it’s right. Each track chosen like it was always supposed to be there. Each transition pulling the crowd somewhere it didn’t know it was going. Cutting her teeth across SLC’s underground circuit and holding a residency at Sun Trapp, Laurent has developed a sound that rewards attention. The music is minimal, layered, alive with subtext.
